If you want to be inspired, Grant’s life journey so far is pretty awesome! The Z family definitely followed his athletic high school career. I love cheering on and following our youth of today. A three sport athlete and an honor student, Grant provides so much positive energy. Even better, he displays great character. His drive, determination, hustle and heart are admirable. Kudos to his parents for raising an amazing, kind soul. It must be a H kiddo thing bc they all exemplify hard work and are so talented in what they do. I have photographed both of his sisters as well. Grant is headed to West Virginia University. Keep inspiring us kiddo! We will be rooting you on for nothing but success as you start the next ride of your life.

The September light was perfect for Abigail’s first session and then we got lucky again with a gorgeous sunflower backdrop when we met again in early October. Who knew sunflower fields needed to be caught during the perfect time? We just missed the window for one field during A’s first session, but after some asking around and researching I was able to find another field. So glad we made a second attempt. Abigail is heading to Slippery Rock University where she will continue her academic and volleyball career! Her senior year at Millbrook HS was one for the books. I know her parents are super proud. Loved reading about her in both school and local news. Continue your hard work pretty girl. Looking forward to watching you grow and chase your dreams. XO
Sunflower Sessions
Who wants to take a field trip to Burnside Farms for a Sunflower Field Session? Burnside Farms sunflower fields have started to bloom and will be a gorgeous backdrop for a quick family session or something for just the kids!
The Details:
Dates: Thursday, August 8th (rain date August 15th) and Saturday, August 10th (rain date August 17th)
Sunflower Sessions at Burnside Farms are 20-25 minutes. Sessions are $250 + tax & includes 5-high res digital files w/ print release, 30% off prints & products. Option to purchase all files for additional $85. $125 to book. Balance due upon gallery completion.
Admission fee is responsibility of client. Admission for Sunflower Sunsets is $10 per person (children under 2 are free). **DO NOT** put Burnside Farms in GPS. ** The flower fields are at their Nokesville farm – 11008 Kettle Run Rd., Nokesville, VA.** I am only taking three sessions per day to allow time to meet clients as I’m not sure where I will be located yet. These will be held during their special Sunflower Sunset hours (which are only available Thursdays and Saturdays).
If you prefer after hours with less crowds, please message me. If available and enough interest I will reserve an alternate date. There will be an additional charge of $25 for after hour dates. I will move quickly, so please ensure you arrive 10 minutes before your session starts so we can get going on time. The light and restricted time will not allow me to make up for lost time.
Sunflower sessions are limited to families of 4 or smaller. If you have a larger family, I recommend you book a full session or two time slots, so I can accomplish all the different shots typically needed for larger families.
If there are multiple inquiries and/or available dates offered get booked, I will see about opening up a Sunday, August 11th date if time and availability permit through Burnside Farms. There will be an additional charge of $25 for non sunset/after hour dates. I have to schedule with Burnside ahead of time, so dates and availability are limited.
Also, available is an all inclusive Sunflower Collection. Please note, I must get approval for availability with Burnside for after hours access. Possible dates I will request will be Thursday, August 1st (no approval needed-sunset hours) Sunday, August 4th and Monday, August 12th. There will be one to two spots per date available.

Session deposits are non-refundable. Due to the limited time of sunflower blooms- if weather prohibits sessions to be completed, your deposit can be used towards a future comparable session type within 18 months.
